THE KESTREL MODEL 2500
I recently purchased a Kestrel 2500. I also own a Brunton ADC Summit, but have never been happy with the long response time required for an accurate temperature reading. An avid snowboarder and skier, I am prone to frostbite and got it twice more this season.

A FINE INSTRUMENT
This is the second Kestrel 4000 I've purchased. My brother, who is 4000 miles away in HI has has my first. I'll never see IT again (orange) Anyway, this unit is outstanding. Very accurate and provides you with all the air information except the direction it's coming from.

WIND SPEED NOT ACCURATE
I like the overall unit, but am having problems with the indicated wind speeds. The readings are quite a bit lower than they should be. I am in the process of trying to get this unit repaired or replaced.

PERFECT
The wind meter is great. The plastic case is designed well and is durable. The meter is easy to use and a great value.
I'd definitely buy another one if something happened to mine.
